Owen Family

Owen Family - Fort Worth, TX, Summer 2013

Meet the Owen Family.

It’s funny how things work. Although Maegan and I grew up in the same town of Redwater and went to the same high school, we had never actually met. Our paths crossed while I was seeking a wedding cake decorator. Maegan, owner of Maegan’s Cakes, makes edible pieces of art! I hired her without even thinking twice. I can’t wait to see what she does for our wedding this September!

Once I learned her and her family were living in Fort Worth, we set up a photo shoot at the Water Gardens while I was in DFW visiting my dear friend Scotty. This is a beautifully amazing family, but I’ll the photos speak for themselves.

Type A Personality

I have a type A personality; that’s with a capital “A.”

Bold and underlined.

As a bride-to-be, full-time professional, photographer, and my own personal wedding planner, I have not scheduled time to post my latest photos. I have been designing Save-the-Dates, collecting vases, googling tuxidos and dreaming of the big day. Unfortunately, I have let me posting slip. Shame on me!

Despite the fact that I have been running around like a crazy woman with my bridezilla face on, I have not lacked on photo shoots; for this I am grateful!

My dear friend, Sarah Schwartz, and I photographed an amazing wedding together in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. It was so gorgeous I cried while at the alter taking their photos. Seriously, I did. It was so unprofessional and very embarrassing but it happened. I couldn’t see. Seeing is key while taking photos. Good thing there was a beautiful bride and handsome groom to draw the attention away from my running nose and smearing make up. It was such an amazing ceremony!

Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Burnside! May God bless you and your marriage.

John SR ’13

While taking senior photos I cannot help but reminisce on my last days high school and how grateful I am that Facebook, Instagram, and cell phones with cameras were not around to document the humiliation. Can I get an amen?

I had the pleasure of taking John’s, aka John John, senior photos this weekend! He doesn’t have Facebook- which I thought was really cool! When asked why, he simply replies, “it’s easier that way.” He’s wise beyond his years!

Congratulation, John! The world is yours. Go get it, tiger!

Now, will someone with Facebook please show John how awesome he looks? Thanks!

Baby Emma

ImageEmma was 11 days old when I meet her and took these photos. Judging by these photos, you would have thought she had this before! She is so precious and so sweet. I couldn’t get enough of her little face and cheeks!

I hope you enjoy these as much as I do.

I’d like to introduce Brandy & Joseph’s pride & joy… Emma Ann

Clay Turns 1!

I meet a handsome 1 year-old this past week. I tell you, I couldn’t have picked a better lunch date! I could have done without the ducks and their… droppings, but Clay didn’t mind one bit. He even picked up some up so I wouldn’t step in it. He’s mother was thrilled.

I just love this kid and his cute little cheeks! I hope these make you smile as much as they made me.

Shep Turns 1

Tanner and Whitney were blessed with a beautiful baby boy one year ago. Where does the time go? This was the beginning of their beautiful family.

Shep_44

Shepherd’s party was filled with family and close friends and LOTS of presents. Whitney told me just before the party started to make sure to have my camera ready for when “Shepherd” opened a bright red box. It was the last gift opened, and I had my camera ready like a hunter has a loaded gun. When the box was opened, Whitney proudly displayed a shirt that read, “Big Brother Shep.” Although it was probably only 5 seconds, it seemed like 5 minutes before anyone quite understood or said anything! You could hear a pin drop.

SHEPHERD GOT A LITTLE BROTHER/SISTER FOR HIS FIRST BIRTHDAY! :) Congratulations to the beautiful family! So glad I was there to photograph these precious moments.

Happy Birthday dear Shepherd boy!

Lauren+Kyle

It’s getting dark early. So early, in fact, I’m doing photo shoots during my lunch break because it’s dark when I get off work.

This super cute couple joined for lunch this week. I think it’s the best lunch date I’ve ever had! Lauren and Kyle are just too adorable!
